Rental Terms

The Rental Day
A rental day runs 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Pick up at noon on Tuesday, return by 8 AM Wednesday for a one-day rental, or keep it a second day.
Practically: return by 8 PM on your last day if you can, or by 8 AM the next morning at the latest. Past 8 AM, a full additional day is charged. There’s no hourly penalty and no grace-period argument — one clean line.
Deposit
₹3,000 for the Activa 125, ₹5,000 for any Royal Enfield. Cash or UPI.
Refunded in full at handback if the bike is undamaged and the papers come back with it. We photograph the bike with you at handover — every panel, every existing scratch. That set is the only reference we use at return. Take your own photos too; we encourage it.
We hold one original government ID, not a passport as security. It’s returned with the bike.
Fuel
Not included. You collect the bike with whatever fuel is in the tank and return it at roughly the same level. We don’t charge a fuel service fee, and we don’t top up and bill you.
Nearest pumps to the shop are on the Haridwar road and at Muni Ki Reti. Fill before you leave town — the next reliable pump heading north is at Devprayag.
Kilometres
No limit, no per-kilometre charge, no restriction on leaving the district. Our bikes carry all-Uttarakhand permissions.
Riding outside Uttarakhand — Himachal, Punjab, Delhi — needs to be agreed at booking. It’s usually fine, but the paperwork and insurance position differ and we need to know.
Damage
Minor marks — scuffs from a parking-lot tip-over, a scratched lever, a bent indicator stem — are charged at parts cost. We don’t add labour for small work and we don’t invent a “cleaning charge”.
Serious damage from an accident is assessed against the insurance. The vehicle is comprehensively insured; you’re responsible for the standard deductible plus anything the policy excludes. We’ll show you the claim.
What the insurance does not cover:
- Riding without a valid licence for the vehicle class
- Riding under the influence
- Any rider not named at booking
- Riding outside Uttarakhand without prior agreement
Any of those and the policy walks away, which is the honest reason we’re strict about licences at handover.
Punctures, chain adjustment and normal wear are our cost, not yours. Call us and we’ll route you to a mechanic.
Breakdowns
Genuine mechanical failure — not accident damage — is on us. Call or WhatsApp, we’ll connect you with a mechanic on your route, and if it can’t be fixed locally we arrange recovery or a replacement bike.
Save our number before you leave: +91 81928 45805. Mobile coverage is patchy past Guptkashi and non-existent in parts of the Gangotri valley, so save the route mechanic’s number too — we give you one at handover.
Cancellations
- Cancel more than 48 hours before pickup: full refund of any advance.
- Cancel within 48 hours: advance held as credit for 90 days.
- No-show: advance retained.
- Road closed, landslide, weather, temple closure — full refund, no questions. That isn’t your fault and we don’t profit from it.
Shortening a trip once it’s started: we’ll refund unused whole days at our discretion, and in practice we usually do if the reason is genuine.
What We Expect
- Wear the helmet. It’s free and it’s in the bag.
- Don’t ride hill roads after dark if you can avoid it. Most incidents on our bikes happen after sunset.
- No third rider. Two up is the legal and practical maximum.
- Don’t let anyone else ride it who isn’t named on the booking — it voids the insurance.
- Tell us the truth about the route. If a bike is going to Adi Kailash we prepare it differently than if it’s going to Kunjapuri.
What You Can Expect From Us
- The bike serviced, checked and shown to you before you take it
- Complete, current papers: RC, insurance, PUC, fitness and permit
- The quoted price, unchanged at handback
- A phone answered, at whatever hour, from wherever you are
- Your deposit and ID returned the moment the bike is back
