Price & Booking
How much is a Royal Enfield per day in Rishikesh? ₹1,200 for a Hunter 350, ₹1,300 for a Classic 350, ₹1,400 for a Himalayan 411, ₹1,800 for a Guerrilla 450, ₹2,000 for a Himalayan 450. An Activa 125 is ₹500. Rates drop at three days and again at seven. Full rate card →
Is the rate per bike or per person? Per bike. A pillion costs nothing extra.
How far in advance should I book? Three to four days in peak season (April–June, September–November), especially for a Himalayan. Off-season, same day is usually fine.
Do I have to pay in advance? A small advance holds the booking in peak season. The rest is due at handover. UPI, cash or card.
Can I cancel? Full refund more than 48 hours out. Inside 48 hours the advance becomes 90-day credit. If a road closes or a temple shuts, full refund regardless. Terms →
Do you offer group discounts? Four bikes or more, yes.
Documents & Eligibility
What documents do I need? An original driving licence valid for the vehicle class, plus one original government photo ID that stays with us for the rental. Detail, including licence classes →
My licence is gearless — can I rent a Royal Enfield? No. A gearless or MC-50CC endorsement covers the Activa only. For a geared motorcycle you need MCWG or LMV-MC.
Can foreigners rent a Royal Enfield in India? Yes — passport plus a valid International Driving Permit from your home country. The IDP is legally required and can’t be obtained in India, so arrange it before you fly.
Is DigiLocker accepted? Yes, a licence in DigiLocker or mParivahan is valid. Bring the physical card too if you have it.
What’s the minimum age? 18. No upper limit.
The Bikes
Which Royal Enfield should I rent for the mountains? A Himalayan — the 411 if it’s your first mountain trip, the 450 if you’re going high or far. Ground clearance and suspension travel matter more than power on these roads. A Classic or Hunter is fine on sealed roads but will make the rough stretches harder work than they need to be.
Himalayan 411 or 450? The 411 is lighter, simpler and cheaper, and there’s a mechanic in every mountain town who can fix it. The 450 is faster, more comfortable over distance, better at altitude and taller. First Himalayan trip, moderate budget: 411. Long trip, high passes, confident rider: 450.
I’m 5’3”. Which bike fits? The Hunter 350 has the lowest seat at 790 mm. The Himalayan 450 is tall in stock trim but we can fit a low seat — tell us your height when you book and we’ll set it up before you arrive.
Are the bikes new? The fleet is kept current and serviced to a schedule. Model years vary; if a specific year matters to you, ask and we’ll tell you what’s actually in the yard.
Do you have the Meteor / Interceptor / Bullet 500? Our current fleet is the six models on the fleet page. Message us — we’ll tell you honestly rather than promising something we don’t have.
Riding Out of Rishikesh
Can I take the bike to Kedarnath, Badrinath or the Chardham? Yes. Every bike carries a commercial taxi-series plate and all-Uttarakhand permissions, so there’s no legal issue in any district of the state. Is there a kilometre limit? No.
Can I take the bike to Himachal or Ladakh? Usually yes, but it must be agreed at booking — the insurance and permit position outside Uttarakhand is different and we need to arrange it properly.
Are the roads actually rideable? Most of the year, yes. July and August are the exception — the monsoon brings landslides and the Chardham roads close and reopen repeatedly. Message us before you commit to dates in those months and we’ll tell you what’s open. Month-by-month guide →
Is there anywhere I shouldn’t take the bike? Sonprayag is as far as any vehicle goes toward Kedarnath — the last 16 km is a trek or a pony. Beyond Joshimath toward the border needs Inner Line Permits. And we’d rather you didn’t ride hill roads after dark, anywhere.
During the Rental
What if the bike breaks down? Call or WhatsApp. We connect you with a mechanic on your route, and for genuine mechanical failure we arrange recovery or a replacement. Punctures and chain adjustment are our cost.
What if I have an accident? Get yourself safe first, then call us. The bike is comprehensively insured; we handle the claim. Insurance covers the vehicle, not your medical costs — carry your own travel insurance.
What if I extend my trip? Message before your return time. If you cross the three- or seven-day threshold, the lower rate applies to the whole rental.
Is fuel included? No. Fill before you leave Rishikesh — the next reliable pump north is at Devprayag.
What if I return late? By 8 PM on the last day ideally, 8 AM the next morning at the outside. After that it’s a full extra day.
Practical
Do you deliver to my hotel? Free, anywhere in Rishikesh — Tapovan, Laxman Jhula, Muni Ki Reti, the railway station, ISBT, Swarg Ashram. Delivery details →
Can you meet my train or flight? Yes. Send the train or flight number.
Do you provide a second helmet? Yes, free, on request.
Do you have saddlebags? On request — ask for the rate when booking. A luggage carrier is included on every bike as standard.
Do you rent riding gear? Not currently. Bring gloves at minimum; hill roads are unforgiving and Rishikesh is a bad place to buy a decent pair in a hurry.
Are you open at night? 24 hours. People arrive on the 4 AM train and leave for Kunjapuri at 4:30. That’s the job.
