The Airport Is the Point

Jolly Grant Airport is 20 km from Rishikesh and about 25 km from Dehradun city. It’s closer to us than the city is, and it’s where most of this page’s traffic actually starts.

If you’re flying into Dehradun to ride in Uttarakhand, we’ll meet your flight with the bike, do the paperwork in the car park, and you can be on the Rishikesh road twenty minutes after collecting your bag — instead of paying for a taxi, checking into a hotel, and starting tomorrow.

Send us the flight number when you book. We track it. Delays aren’t your fault.

We also deliver to Dehradun city — Rajpur Road, Clock Tower, ISBT, the railway station, any hotel — for a fee depending on bike and season.

Honest About How This Works

Our workshop, mechanics and fleet are in Rishikesh. There’s no Dehradun shopfront and we’re not going to invent one. A rider brings the bike to you, hands it over, and buses back. There’s a delivery fee. Ask and we’ll quote it.

Same arrangement for the return, which is useful if you’re flying out of Jolly Grant.

Riding Out of Dehradun

Dehradun’s advantage over Rishikesh is that it sits at the bottom of the Mussoorie climb — one of the best sealed roads in north India, and a 35 km ride from the city.

Mussoorie35 kmHalf day
Mussoorie, Dhanaulti & Kanatal loop~180 km2
Rishikesh45 kmHalf day
Tehri Lake via Chamba~135 km1–2
Yamunotri~155 km3
Kedarnath~265 km3–4
Full Chardham circuit~1,600 km12

Note that Dehradun is genuinely closer than Rishikesh to Yamunotri, since the route runs over Mussoorie. If Yamunotri or the Mussoorie loop is your trip, starting here makes real sense. All routes →

The Best Ride From Dehradun

If you have one day: Dehradun → Mussoorie → Dhanaulti → Kanatal → back.

The Dehradun–Mussoorie climb is an unbroken run of well-surfaced switchbacks gaining about 1,300 m, and past Mussoorie the traffic vanishes and the road runs through deodar forest at 2,200–2,500 m. Take a Guerrilla 450 and it’s one of the best days of riding available in this state.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver to Jolly Grant Airport?
Yes, and it's our most common Dehradun delivery — the airport is only 20 km from our workshop. Send the flight number and we'll meet you.
Do you have a shop in Dehradun?
No. Everything is in Rishikesh and we deliver. We'd rather be straight about that.
How much is delivery?
Depends on the bike and season. Message us for a quote. Jolly Grant is cheaper than the city because it's closer to us.
Can I pick up at the airport and drop in Rishikesh?
Yes, easily — and there's no drop fee if you return it to our shop.
Can I ride to Mussoorie on a rented bike?
Yes. It's 35 km of excellent sealed road, and one of the best rides in the region. A Guerrilla 450 or Classic 350 suits it best.
Is Dehradun a better starting point than Rishikesh?
For Yamunotri and the Mussoorie loop, yes. For Kedarnath, Badrinath, Chopta and the Alaknanda valley routes, Rishikesh is closer and better placed.
Can I take the bike out of Uttarakhand?
Only with prior agreement at booking — the insurance and permit position changes. Himachal is arranged regularly. Terms →
